An end of 2025 wrap up!

As we look back on 2025, one word comes to mind: gratitude. Gratitude for our team, our partners, and the amazing creative communities we’re lucky enough to be part of.

New Adventures

This year we stepped into an exciting new world, providing insurance to games developers. It’s been inspiring to meet so many imaginative creators, and we’re thrilled to support them as they bring their visions to life. We couldn’t resist adding a little fun to the mix by welcoming Cody, our new mascot, who’s already become part of the family.

Watch out for more as we grow this area in 2026.

Supporting Filmmakers

Our passion for film continues to thrive. In 2025, we celebrated our 8th Short Film Competition, providing prize funding towards another five brilliant projects. That brings us to 41 films supported since 2018, giving away a total of £45,000 in cash prizes to help emerging filmmakers tell their stories. Seeing the creativity and determination of these filmmakers reminds us why we do what we do.

We’re also proud Industry Friends of the Film & TV Charity, who continue to offer support to everyone working behind the scenes in Film, TV & Cinema. I’d finish by asking you all when you have a spare moment to read about the work they are doing to support our industry here. 

Out in the World

This year wasn’t just about what we achieved, it was about where we went. From the glamour of the Cannes Film Festival to the innovation at the Media Production & Technology Show, and the connections made at Focus, our team has been right at the heart of the industry.

And we’re proud to have launched something brand new: The Morning Take. This event series brings together the best partners in the business, creating space for fresh ideas, collaboration, and inspiration.

A message from our Director

We couldn’t end the year without hearing from our Director – Michael Wood.

Looking Ahead

2025 has been a year of growth, creativity, and connection. As we head into 2026, we’re excited to keep building on this momentum supporting more creators, exploring new industries, and finding even more ways to celebrate the people who make storytelling possible.
